Event Details

One in four women and one in seven men experience severe physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. But abuse is more than physical. It can also be emotional, sexual, digital and financial.

In partnership with the Northwest Wayne County Zonta Club, Dr. Laura Starzynski will present a lecture and discussion of the realities of domestic violence and how to recognize the warning signs of abusive and controlling behaviors.

Zonta is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls. Dr. Starzynski is a professor in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department at Wayne State University.
