Come practice speaking English! Each week tutors from the Plymouth-Canton Literacy Council will lead the group in informal conversations designed to practice your knowledge of English. 

Grades 7-12.

Monthly membership meeting of the Master Gardeners of Western Wayne County, a non-profit Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) associated volunteer organization dedicated to educating our local communities about gardening and horticultur

Preschoolers ages 3.5 - 5 yrs. old, who are not yet in Kindergarten, can attend an independent storytime designed especially for them.

Grades 7-12. Join us for an hour of quiet reading time and snacks followed by open discussion. Each month will feature a different genre.

Grades 7-12. Join us to learn how to crochet and make a variety of projects! No previous crochet experience is needed, all supplies will be provided. Registration required.

Come close the day with 30 minutes of songs, rhymes, and stories followed by a 15 minute craft!

The Friends of the Library meet monthly to discuss upcoming sales, their bookstore, and so much more.  Please feel free to stop in if you'd like to know more about the Friends Group.

Toddler Tales is an interactive program between parents/caregivers and their children ages 18 months to 3.5 years.  Enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, signs and rhymes with your little ones.

The Westland Public Library offers a delivery service for Westland residents who are confined to their homes.

Bring your own book (or magazine, or newspaper, etc.)! This book club has no assigned book, reading deadlines, or traditional discussion. Bring your own reading material and enjoy the company of fellow readers.

The Library's Board of Trustees meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Board meetings are held at the library and are open to the general public.
