The Library's Board of Trustees meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Board meetings are held at the library and are open to the general public.

Many people chose to support the Nazi regime during the Holocaust, and propaganda played a significant role in their thinking.

Nina Innsted, a true crime expert and host of the Already Gone Podcast, will share gripping stories from Metro Detroit. She’ll also read from her book, "Unsolved Michigan," which explores various unsolved cases in the state.

Do you love to read?  Book Club is a great way to spend an hour with other kids who share your love of books!

Preschoolers ages 3.5 - 5 yrs. old, who are not yet in Kindergarten, can attend an independent storytime designed especially for them.

Join us for Westland Library Birding Club to do some spring birding! Whether you're a seasoned birder or just getting started, you'll learn all about birding basics, how to record your findings, and form a community of bird-lovers.

Bring your own book (or magazine, or newspaper, etc.)! This book club has no assigned book, reading deadlines, or traditional discussion. Bring your own reading material and enjoy the company of fellow readers.

 Be the Scientist!  Join us for hands-on science!  Ages 4-Grade 1. Parent participation required.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can improve flexibility, decrease stress, and reduce joint strain.

Come close the day with 30 minutes of songs, rhymes, and stories followed by a 15 minute craft!

Grades 7-12. Join us for an hour of quiet reading time and snacks followed by open discussion. Each month will feature a different genre.

Toddler Tales is an interactive program between parents/caregivers and their children ages 18 months to 3.5 years.  Enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, signs and rhymes with your little ones. 

No registration required.

Come practice speaking English! Each week tutors from the Plymouth-Canton Literacy Council will lead the group in informal conversations designed to practice your knowledge of English. 

Want to test your music knowledge? Get ready to listen and sing along to your favorite songs from the 60's and 70's with Music Bingo! Match the numbers on your card with song titles from a chosen list of classic 60's and 70's songs.

Grades 2-5. Time for Art is a chance to use your creativity and skill to make beautiful works of art and explore different kinds of art techniques! Wear messy clothes!

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). We meet virtually/in person once a month to discuss library programs, online resources, and popular trends.
