Join us for an evening of Open Mic! Emcee & author Denise Sedman will lead the event as your host and featured reader. 

Denise is an award-winning poet and her most recent poetry chapbook, The Past Isn’t Done with Me Yet, is about making peace with an abusive past. She will read her signature poem, “Untitled”, that was the source for architect students at University of Detroit Mercy to build a temporary environment in Detroit. The poem was originally published in Abandon Automobile by Wayne State University Press. Her credits also include publication in various literary books and magazines.

An Open Mic will follow. Plan to read up to 3 minutes of your poetry or story. You may also read a short selection from your fiction or memoir writing. Registration is encouraged.
