This special event features award-winning poets such as Westland’s own Denise Sedman, Diane DeCillis, and Alinda Wasner. 

Denise’s new poetry book, “The Past Isn’t Done with Me Yet,” was released in September and is about neglect and bipolar disorder. Diane DeCillis, author of “When The Heart Needs a Stunt Double,” writes in a fierce and intelligent manner and is working on a new book about the five senses. Alinda Wasner’s newest collection, “The Day Sky Is Also Filled with Stars: Love Poems for My Beloveds,” are filled with sensitivity, hope, desire, and passion.  

Enjoy an afternoon of poetry followed by an Open Mic. Plan to read up to 3 minutes of your poetry or story. A sign-up sheet will be available.
