Writers of all skill levels welcome! Whether you are a poet writing free verse, a novelist beginning a first draft, a non-fiction writer drafting a memoir or a how-to story, this class will give you tips to write as much as you can in a month. This writing adventure is for you. Registration required.

Taught by Author Cheryl Martin, M.A./TDL, who became a  Department of Michigan’s American Legion Oratorical Judge/Head Judge for Zone 1, held at the American Legion Post 282 Ypsilanti, MI in 2025. This national scholarship encourages students to research their topic, prepare, it and present it without any documentation during their speech.

She’s the Historian at American Legion Post 282, as well as the Disabled American Veteran Chapter #13 Commander, of Washtenaw County, MI. Her published books include, Haiku With Some One Room School House History, A Day in the Life of An Award Winning Poet and Photographer, and Marketing Your Book Locally.
