Kiwanis International is a service club that was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915 to promote higher ideals in business, professional, and industrial life.

Do you think you know everything about movies and films? Gather your friends and test your knowledge in a fun game of movie trivia! There will be questions ranging from everyone's favorite classic films to the newest blockbuster movies.

Toddler Tales is an interactive program between parents/caregivers and their children ages 18 months to 3.5 years.  Enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, signs and rhymes with your little ones. 

No registration required.

The Westland Public Library offers a delivery service for Westland residents who are confined to their homes.

Come practice speaking English! Each week tutors from the Plymouth-Canton Literacy Council will lead the group in informal conversations designed to practice your knowledge of English. 

Scrambled Eggs is a trans-led support group for transgender, nonbinary, gender expansive, and questioning adults. Allies are welcome, too (hence the name: scrambled).

Grades 3-8

For beginners and experienced players in 3rd-8th grade. Bring your own chess set or use one of ours.  No registration required.

Cool Dads Read is being presented by the City of Westland and the Westland Public Library to celebrate March is Reading Month!  Join us as guest readers from the community share stories, a craft, and cookies with your kids!  

Monthly membership meeting of the Master Gardeners of Western Wayne County, a non-profit Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) associated volunteer organization dedicated to educating our local communities about gardening and horticultur

Preschoolers ages 3.5 - 5 yrs. old, who are not yet in Kindergarten, can attend an independent storytime designed especially for them.

Ages 3 & up, with a caregiver.

Listen, sing, and stretch along to stories with your child!  No experience necessary.  Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours (while supplies last).

Join us for a fun-filled puzzle-solving competition! Each team will receive the same puzzle and will have 2 hours to complete it. The first team to finish the puzzle will receive a prize!

Come close the day with 30 minutes of songs, rhymes, and stories followed by a 15 minute craft!
