We are pleased to invite local writers to submit their work for the 2026 edition of Westland Writes. This annual collection celebrates the creativity and talent of writers in our community.

Nina Innsted, a true crime expert and host of the Already Gone Podcast, will share gripping stories from Metro Detroit. She’ll also read from her book, "Unsolved Michigan," which explores various unsolved cases in the state.

With Hoopla and Libby, you can access thousands of free ebooks and audiobooks - and all you need is a library card and an internet-connected device.
