0-2 with a caregiver

Toddler Tales is an interactive program between parents/caregivers and their children ages 18 months to 3.5 years.  Enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, signs and rhymes with your little ones. 

No registration required.

The Westland Public Library offers a delivery service for Westland residents who are confined to their homes.

Preschoolers ages 3.5 - 5 yrs. old, who are not yet in Kindergarten, can attend an independent storytime designed especially for them.

"Be the Artist" in this program where we will create fun art pieces based on some of our favorite picture book illustrations!  In this session, we will read Ashely Wolff's book "How to Help a Pumpkin Grow".

Grades 7-12. 

Join us for Homeschool Explorers!  This month, we are having our first Homeschool Book Club of the year!  

Come practice speaking English! Each week tutors from the Plymouth-Canton Literacy Council will lead the group in informal conversations designed to practice your knowledge of English. 

This program is designed to provide skills and tools to help people with hypertension learn to live a healthier life. Learn basics about hypertension, healthy eating, physical activity, and how to improve your overall health.

The Teen Book Club is open to teens in grades 7-12. The reading level and content of the books will be geared towards high school students. We will read new books every month and enjoy different activities and snacks based on the books.

Like to play chess? Want to get better? Drop by for Chess Club and play a couple of games. Bring your own board or use one of ours. Novices to chess masters are all welcome. No sign-up required.

Bring your own book (or magazine, or newspaper, etc.)! This book club has no assigned book, reading deadlines, or traditional discussion. Bring your own reading material and enjoy the company of fellow readers.

Here's how it works:

Come close the day with 30 minutes of songs, rhymes, and stories followed by a 15 minute craft!

Calling all 3rd & 4th Grade readers!  Join us for stories, snacks, and lots of FUN!  This month's book:  Reader's Choice!  Bring a book you've recently read and be prepared to share.

Grades 3-8

Challenge yourself by learning and improving at the game of chess!  For beginners and experienced players in 3rd-8th grade. Bring your own chess set or use one of ours. No registration.

Join us for a visit with the author of "Turn the Page: The Bob Seger Story". Dr. Edward Balian will entertain us with readings from the book and stories of one of Michigan’s greatest rock legends. Dr.

The Library's Board of Trustees meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Board meetings are held at the library and are open to the general public.
