Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can improve flexibility, decrease stress, and reduce joint strain.

Have you ever wanted to run a 5k? or are you looking for a group to help motivate you to run? Then this group is for you! We will be meeting for 11 weeks throughout the summer in order to get you ready for a race in the fall.

Children will engage in “hands-on” group experiences that provide a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind.  There will be both a classroom and gardening component to the classes.

Battle of the Books is a book-related competition for teens going into grades 7-12. 

Mermaid Molly joins us on dry land to share stories and songs.  Ages 3 & up, parent participation required.

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). We meet virtually/in person once a month to discuss library programs, online resources, and popular trends.

Like to play chess? Want to get better? Drop by for Chess Club and play a couple of games. Bring your own board or use one of ours. Novices to chess masters are all welcome. No sign-up required.

Listen, sing, and stretch along to stories with your child!  No experience necessary.  Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours (while supplies last).  

Grab a blanket (or chair) and join us for Family STEM in the Garden! We'll be doing a hands-on activity involving Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  Program will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather.

Bring your own book (or magazine, or newspaper, etc.)! This book club has no assigned book, reading deadlines, or traditional discussion. Bring your own reading material and enjoy the company of fellow readers.

Join the Noontime Book Club on the last Tuesday of every month as this self-directed group reads current fiction and non-fiction titles from various authors. This month's title is Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian. 

Join fellow arts and crafts enthusiasts for a self-guided craft. This month's craft is still under construction--stay tuned!

Join us outdoors in the children's garden for 30 minutes of songs, rhymes, and stories with a take home craft available at the end! *storytime will be moved indoors in the event of bad weather*

The Westland Public Library offers a delivery service for Westland residents who are confined to their homes.

Come practice speaking English at the Westland Public Library. Each week tutors from the Plymouth-Canton Literacy Council will lead the group in informal conversations designed to practice your knowledge of English. 

Join Paranormal Travel author Shetan Noir as she takes you on an adventure to Michigan's weirdest places and events.

All are welcome to attend meetings of your local Toastmasters club! Improve your speaking and listening skills in a supportive, friendly group setting.
